About Travis

Travis Chance is the President of CFG Wealth Management, LLC, a Registered Investment Advisory firm. In 2005, he chose his career in the financial planning industry after seeing firsthand the dangers that poor financial advice can bring in retirement to his close loved ones. Family is especially important to him. He is married to his beautiful wife, Shannon, and they have three incredible daughters. Travis also has his client family, which he calls his CFG family, and takes a vested interest in not just forming a business relationship but a personal relationship with each of his clients and their families.

Travis specializes in helping clients age 50 and over and is a practicing (CFP) Certified Financial Planner™, and recipient of the (RICP) Retirement Income Certified Professional designation through the American College. Also, due to his firm specifically focusing on those approaching, entering, and in retirement, he has also attained the (CLTC) Certified in Long Term Care, (AIF) Accredited Investment Fiduciary, and (BFA) Behavioral Finance Advisor certifications. Travis has extensive training in financial planning, estate planning, insurance, investments, taxes, employee benefits, and retirement planning, and speaks regularly to groups on this topic.

Education is the cornerstone of CFG Wealth Management, LLC, and Travis regularly attends training to further his in-depth knowledge of his client’s retirement income needs, such as the Ed Slott IRA Master Elite IRA Planning Group, and other more focused study groups on retirement topics. He holds his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Georgia Southern University (GSU) and Financial Planning degree from Kaplan University. For his tireless work for his clients and dedication to his practice, Chance was recognized as a top business leader in the top 20 under 40 from GSU (2016), and 40 under 40 by the Statesboro Herald (2011).

On the air, Travis can be heard on his radio show and podcast airing on WTKS 1290 AM/97.7 FM on Saturday mornings and listeners can subscribe to his podcast on iTunes and Google Play. In print, his opinions have been published in several publications and in his book, Navigating Your Retirement. CFG Wealth Management serves the areas of Statesboro/Savannah/ Bluffton and maintains convenient locations in each of those areas.

About Christy

Christy is the office manager and the primary assistant to Travis at CFG. She is an integral part of our commitment to service for the clients of CFG Wealth Management, LLC. Stone has always been committed to customer service excellence and was an Honor Graduate at Georgia Southern University with a bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management and Minor in Business Management.

After college, she began her career working for Hyatt Hotels Corporation and later Choice Hotels in various management roles for 15 years. After spending many years in a fast paced, corporate hospitality environment, Christy joined CFG Wealth Management, LLC in June 2014. The ability to have the time to get to know each client and build true business and personal relationships with them, appealed to her service driven heart. She oversees the processing of new accounts, additional deposits, withdrawals/distributions, account information updates, etc. in addition to daily office operations.

A native of the Bulloch County/Statesboro area, Christy is devoted to her son, family, and friends. When not in the office, she enjoys spending time with her son, caring for their pet rabbit, and traveling to historic sites in Georgia and beyond.

About Patty

Patty joined the CFG team in mid-2021 as an executive assistant. Despite being new to the team, she brings years of customer service and business experience in a wide range of settings, including law and investment firms, and as the clinical manager for a medical practice.

Patty attended the University of Missouri at Columbia where she majored in Agricultural Business/Accounting with a minor in Psychology. Originally from Missouri, Patty and her husband David relocated with their three children to Rincon, GA in 1996. His career took them to Atlanta and after his retirement they returned to the low country. The joy of her life is her family. When she is not traveling to Texas, Tennessee or Atlanta to visit her children, she and David can be found enjoying country life in south Georgia. Patty has a wide variety of interests and you never know what she might be doing…anything from a beach trip, scuba diving, gardening, hunting/fishing, crafting, woodworking or baking in the kitchen!
